Amrutha Vegan Restaurant Review: One of London’s Best Group Dining Spots

Looking for a vegan restaurant in London that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a birthday or group celebration? Amrutha in Earlsfield might be one of the coziest setting to share a meal.
With refillable sharing bowls, creative plant-based dishes and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, Amrutha is the kind of local restaurant I wish every neighbourhood had.

A Vegan Feast Made for Sharing
We ordered the Grande Selection for £37 per person, which brought a generous variety of colourful dishes to the table.
The menu pairs well-known crowd-pleasers, including curries, rice and, and seasonal salads with more creative vegan touches such as cashew cheese, beetroot gazpacho, and an incredible crispy pakora
It is the perfect balance for a mixed group. There are enough familiar flavours to keep less adventurous diners happy, while the more inventive dishes make the meal feel much more exciting than a standard curry night.
Best of all, the bowls are refillable.
Once you have tried everything, you can ask for more of the dishes your table enjoyed most. This makes Amrutha one of the best vegan restaurants in London for group dining. There is no awkwardly dividing one small plate between six people or politely leaving the final pakora untouched.
The Best Dishes at Amrutha
My favourite dish from the regular sharing menu was the pakora. They were crispy on the outside, tender inside.
The highlight of the evening was the chef’s special: salt and pepper tofu. The tofu was crispy, salty and packed with flavour. The special changes regularly, which gives you another reason to return and experience a slightly different version of the feast.
I also loved how refreshing the beetroot gazpacho felt alongside the warmer curries. The creamy cashew cheese was another standout and added a delicious creamy element to almost everything on the table.

Warm, Earthy and Relaxed
The atmosphere at Amrutha reminded me of some of my favourite restaurants on New York City’s Lower East Side.
It feels warm, earthy and slightly bohemian, with friendly staff and an unpretentious neighbourhood atmosphere. It is cosy enough for a date night but relaxed enough for a larger dinner with friends or family.
The sharing-style menu also encourages you to slow down, pass bowls around the table and actually enjoy eating together.

BYOB, Kombucha and Complimentary Tea
Amrutha is BYOB, making it a particularly good option for birthday dinners and group celebrations where the cost of drinks can quickly add up.
However, I also love their kombucha and homemade juices, so bringing your own alcohol certainly is not essential.
The meal ends with a complimentary house tea, which is a small but thoughtful touch and a lovely way to finish such a generous dinner.

Is Amrutha Worth Visiting?
My honest Amrutha Vegan Restaurant Review...
Amrutha is easily one of the best vegan restaurants in South West London for sharing food with a group, or with a date, in a cozy 100% plant-based setting.
The refillable bowls offer excellent variety, the menu is creative without feeling inaccessible and the welcoming atmosphere makes you want to stay for the entire evening.
Whether you are planning a vegan birthday dinner, introducing non-vegan friends to plant-based food or simply looking for a relaxed restaurant in Earlsfield, Amrutha deserves a place on your London vegan food list.
So my Amrutha Vegan Restaurant Review? Come hungry, bring a bottle and make sure you order another bowl of pakora.
